Return to Rugby: 3 Phases
New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level 2 and all community and club rugby will begin to follow the three stages of preparation outlined below.
Phase 1: Prepare to Train – Phase ended 25 May
Phase 2: Prepare to Play from 25 May to 19 June
Southern Teams can resume pre-season training (we have had our health and safety plans approved by the Otago Rugby Union/ DCC).
29 May (12pm) the government will allow gatherings of 100 or more.
13 June pre-season matches may be played.
Registering for rugby can continue during this phase.
Phase 3: Play from 20 June (SRFC will have preseason matches being played).
20 June competition fixtures can begin.
Dunedin Club Rugby will start on the 27th June (Senior), 4th July (Premier, Premier 2, Div 1 Colts) and 11th July (Junior Colts), Womens TBA.
The Clubroom Bar will be open on Sat 13th June from 4.30pm. We will be operating under Alert level 2 regulations which includes contact tracing (iDMe) and hospitality rules.
